Sowell On Income Inequality

Political Potpourri

The CBS national poll has Trump at 36, nearly double over Cruz, with Rubio and Carson following back a gap. He also won a close Iowa poll 2 points over Cruz, again with Rubio and Carson following back a gap. Perhaps more significant is Sanders beat Clinton in 2 out of 3 IA and NH polls, and the NY Times showed Clinton's lead nationally down to 7. Sanders also is rating higher against GOP candidates. Election Betting Odds shows Trump rapidly closing Rubio's lead, and Clinton is slumping, although still the dominant leader in the race.

(Libertarian Catholic). Nice move by Ryan, though he could've just not funded Obamacare in the first place...
Isn't the official Catholic social teaching in favor of things like Obamacare?

Im not asking this to be funny. I did a lot of work with the comunis-...err, I mean DISTRIBUTIVISTS at my lical Catholic Worker and based on the stuff I read that seemed to be the case.

If it is, are you contradicting dogmatics by having this page?

I mean, being a lover Augustana, I fully cheer you on if you are challenging bad dogma smile emoticon, but I wa under the impression you were a satisfied Roman.

Im legitimately curious.
Jesus did not preach social or political activism. And, no, ObamaCare is a Statist "solution". The fascist Obama regime is trying to force the sisters, who do not practice immoral sexual behavior,to subsidize the immoral sex lives of other people.
(separate comment)
The birth control mandate was part of ObamaCare. Note that the Church for centuries has had missions for education and healthcare not operated or controlled by the State. Not speaking for Greg, but there's a critical distinction between dogma and doctrine, and the OP does not seem to get it. Dogma is a divinely revealed subset of doctrine or teachings on faith and morals, spoken infallibly,

Many economics historians look at the Spanish Scholastics supporting free markets preceding late nineteenth century encyclicals. In particular, Tom Woods, a free market guy in the Austrian tradition, has had a lively debate against the distributionists for years.
