Obama has time to meet with rapper Kendrick Lamar but not to rap with Congressman Justin Amash on civil liberties. https://t.co/auOmGx3U4C

Not only was @realDonaldTrump wacko enough to promote Obama birther garbage but the Pied Piper of wackos tries the same smears with Cruz.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 12, 2016
The real birther truth is that @realDonaldTrump, unlike the rest of the GOP field, was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 12, 2016
@realDonaldTrump is not smart enough to beat national debate champion Ted Cruz on the debate stage, so he misleads about Cruz' US-born mom.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 12, 2016
The decision to exclude Rand Paul from the debate stage is a blow against all Constitutional, limited government, pro-liberty conservatives
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 12, 2016
No, former RINO Mike Bloomberg, who was Big Nanny for NYC and is anti-liberty on self-defense, will not attract pro-liberty conservatives.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 12, 2016
Both NY Democrats, Mike Bloomberg and @realDonaldTrump, switched parties because they thought it would be easier to get elected via the GOP.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 12, 2016
There is nothing "conservative" about @realDonaldTrump's economically illiterate stand againt immigration. We will never vote for Trump.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 12, 2016
@realDonaldTrump, unlike his rivals, has not been endorsed by an elected federal legislator. But he and Vladimir Putin admire each other.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 12, 2016
Obama is misleading the nation about "cutting the deficit"; he hasn't cut squat--he has added to an unsustainable federal debt. #SOTU
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
No, adding to the trillion dollar college loan bubble, which flows to crony Big Colleges, does NOT improve the lot of young workers. #SOTU
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
@mcwbr You need to understand the difference between tax increases which hamper economic growth and cutting unsustainable spending. Econ 101
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
@mcwbr Obama has had the ONLY trillion dollar deficits of American history. He has more than doubled the publicly held federal debt.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
@mcwbr Economic illiterate fascist trolls don't understand the difference between the deficit and the debt. Has Obama run a surplus? No.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
Obama's job growth hype is nonsense. In a robust economy, we should see wages rising. Many new jobs are lower-paying or part-time. #SOTU
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
If Obama wanted to do more about job growth,he would not be talking about raising price floors and benefit mandates for the unemployed,#SOTU
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
Where is Obama's agenda for more globally competitive business taxes, for paying more than lip service to a $1.8T regulatory chokehold? #SOTU
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
Obama taking the high road on immigration is a joke: he has been Mr. Deportation, some 2.5M, esp. Central American women and children. #SOTU
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
Obama's deficit numbers are a joke. If the Fed didn't manipulate interest rates, we would be paying hundreds of billions more. #SOTU
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
Obama tried to blame the Great Recession on the private sector. It was government and Fed policy which propped up the bubble. #SOTU
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
@kpsgocougs Trolls should take Econ 101. The issue of investment has to do with anti-investment taxes and regulation, regime uncertainty.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
Obama on foreign policy is putting lipstick on a pig. Are Iraq, Syria, and Libya better off today than when Obama took office? #SOTU
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
Nikki Haley although attacking straw man open borders on immigration, had a more respectful message. The irrelevant Ann Coulter dissed her.
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016
There @realDonaldTrump goes again, attacking "low energy" Obama. He finds a lot to like about Putin and and Kim Jung-un. Just a coincidence?
— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 13, 2016

@AlexNowrasteh Actually Trump gets about 42% of the moderate GOP votes. https://t.co/SNsQZTqRK2

Democrats once again propped up the special interest Fed, with Rand Paul's Audit the Fed bill falling short. Shame! https://t.co/86p8aZXxEP

Political Potpourri
The CBS national poll has Trump at 36, nearly double over Cruz, with Rubio and Carson following back a gap. He also won a close Iowa poll 2 points over Cruz, again with Rubio and Carson following back a gap. Perhaps more significant is Sanders beat Clinton in 2 out of 3 IA and NH polls, and the NY Times showed Clinton's lead nationally down to 7. Sanders also is rating higher against GOP candidates. Election Betting Odds shows Trump rapidly closing Rubio's lead, and Clinton is slumping, although still the dominant leader in the race.

(Libertarian Catholic). Nice move by Ryan, though he could've just not funded Obamacare in the first place...
Isn't the official Catholic social teaching in favor of things like Obamacare?
Im not asking this to be funny. I did a lot of work with the comunis-...err, I mean DISTRIBUTIVISTS at my lical Catholic Worker and based on the stuff I read that seemed to be the case.
If it is, are you contradicting dogmatics by having this page?
I mean, being a lover Augustana, I fully cheer you on if you are challenging bad dogma smile emoticon, but I wa under the impression you were a satisfied Roman.
Im legitimately curious.
Jesus did not preach social or political activism. And, no, ObamaCare is a Statist "solution". The fascist Obama regime is trying to force the sisters, who do not practice immoral sexual behavior,to subsidize the immoral sex lives of other people.
(separate comment)
The birth control mandate was part of ObamaCare. Note that the Church for centuries has had missions for education and healthcare not operated or controlled by the State. Not speaking for Greg, but there's a critical distinction between dogma and doctrine, and the OP does not seem to get it. Dogma is a divinely revealed subset of doctrine or teachings on faith and morals, spoken infallibly,
Many economics historians look at the Spanish Scholastics supporting free markets preceding late nineteenth century encyclicals. In particular, Tom Woods, a free market guy in the Austrian tradition, has had a lively debate against the distributionists for years.
