Tis the business of little minds to shrink,
but he whose heart is firm,
and whose conscience approves his conduct,
will pursue his principles unto death.

Political Potpourri
As of midday Monday, no new polls over the weekend. I think there has been only one state poll and no national polls published since Christmas Eve. We have seen another of the GOP deep pool of governors drop out (former multi-term NY Gov. Pataki), joining Walker, Perry, and Jindal in addition to Sen. Graham. Pataki's withdrawal is hardly surprising; he has never polled beyond statistical significance and he had never qualified for the major debate stage. He also faced a lot of competition for the moderate GOP vote, with Christie, Kasich, and Bush. Other items of note: I've seen one piece arguing Trump's economic uncertainty pitch is playing well with Reagan blue-collar Democrats, and one rumor suggests that non-Trump/Cruz supporters in Iowa may be planning to join forces behind Rubio.
