  1. Watching the leftist hacks cry crocodile tears over McCabe's termination is nauseating. I'm no Trumpkin,, but the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility, based on IG findings, recommended McCabe's termination. "Andrew McCabe"

Funniest Public School Voice Mail Announcement

I'm not a public education advocate, but clearly the family, including the system, should not have undue reliance on their child's school.

A Libertarian's Response To the South Florida Shooting Student Protect

Basically I've hit many, if not most of the points I've made here. But to underscore a basic point, wishful thinking--the idea that trying to restrict the supply of weapons will stop the perception of a soft target--a gun-free zone--is not serious public policy: it's wishful thinking. You have to assume the unthinkable and plan redundant levels of protection. For example, there are technologies like bullet-proof locks and glass/plastic, door jammers, etc.; why aren't schools or parents insisting on measures of hardening classroom defenses? On a side note: during my 8 years of college teaching, we never had a single safety memo, briefing or simulation; I can't even recall if there were locks on the doors.

Let me also point out that attacks are grossly exaggerated, mostly due to massive publicity. There are roughly 51 million lower education student, and the number who have been injured or killed by mass killings is statistically negligible. This isn't to say they don't happen or are unimportant. But there is a lot one can do to toughen perceptions of a soft target

Carole King, "Hard Rock Cafe". We are winding down the King retrospective. We're going to follow up with a Neil Sedaka retrospective. One reason for mentioning that is that Neil, Carole (then Carol Klein), and Neil Diamond all attended the same Brooklyn high school together (can you imagine the talent?), Sedaka and King dated for a period of time, and Sedaka's first top 10 hit "Oh Carol" was basically written in reference to her given name.
