I do believe that man is a rope between animal and superman.
But the superman I'm thinking of isn't Nietzsche's.
The real superhuman, man or woman, is the person
who's rid himself of all prejudices, neuroses, and psychoses,
who realizes his full potential as a human being,
who acts naturally on the basis of gentleness, compassion, and love,
who thinks for himself and refuses to follow the herd.
That's the genuine dyed-in-the-wool superman.

Hell froze over. Bernie Sanders finally said something I agree with: Hillary Clinton is not qualified to be President. Just not his reasons— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
There are anti-bank conspiracies on both the Left and the Right. But the history of American banking is rife with bad public policies.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
For a long time, smaller banks, which Sanders prefers, were protected from competition, especially larger, more diversified competitors.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
So when what happens to smaller, local banks when the local economy tanks? Not to mention government wanted to regulate reserve policies.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Canada's banking system has been far more stable, even after the Federal Reserve was created to resolve banking issues. Why?No US politicians— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
The issue is not bank size, but morally hazardous public policies. We don't worry about WalMart being too big to fail. https://t.co/PUqLxN8Vgb— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
I don't have an issue with Clinton ensuring American banks are not handicapped with bad policies not imposed on their foreign competition— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
If Sanders really wants to talk about banks, he should start with the largely unaccountable Federal Reserve and the Export/Import Bank.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Sanders' supporters are trending an anti-Hillary hashtag. One said she changes her positions (TTP, Keystone) more often than porn actors.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Why is #HillarySoQualified? Being married to a career governor/President? She spent one undistinguished term as US Senator, one term as SoS.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
I'll give Hillary Clinton credit for having the judgment not to honeymoon in the USSR like Sanders did. (She went to Haiti.)— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Trump's foreign policy is so crackpot, it defies description. Suggesting that Japan and South Korea develop their own nukes is sheer madness--Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
I didn't realize Trump was such a good dancer: https://t.co/ipwtl7N4Il— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Trump has been his own worse enemy. In Wisconsin, he had a Trumpertantrum when Gov. Walker, with 80% GOP approval, endorsed Cruz & attacked.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Trump has been running a smear game against Cruz, constantly raising the birther allegation, implying the Cruz has been in touch with a PAC.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Trump has been whining about Cruz gaining delegates in Louisiana, where he barely edged Cruz. Cruz has been building an organization 2 yrs.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Trump thought all he had to do was fly around to state rallies, monopolize free media coverage, and he was "owed" delegates.Cruz: ground game— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Trump has yet to outright win a state with a simply majority. By one estimate, he has only gained 5 points since the start of the year.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
It's not even a given Trump will win his home state with a simple majority in less than 2 weeks. 3 of the last 5 polls put him at 52 or less— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
The "NY values" line probably doesn't help Cruz. But I think he'll score in the lower to mid-20's and could grab a chunk of delegates.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Behold the unintended consequences of lower-wage prohibitionists, the "living wage" advocates barring worker entry. pic.twitter.com/aU5ob1jmbY— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Cruz, not Trump, is the big cheese in Wisconsin. pic.twitter.com/9lz7LEa2oH— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Now we know why Donald Trump wants to build his boondoggle wall--because he wants to use eminent domain against thousands of Americans.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Bernie Sanders, not to be outdone by Trump bashing Ford, Nabisco & Apple, decided to bash GE; CEO Immelt kicks ass https://t.co/Qawl02LULN— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Bernie Sanders, you parasitic career political whore, you want to know what tears at the moral fabric of America? Your Politics of Envy— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Rudy Giuliani endorsed Trump. That has got to be the worst kept secret. He said back in January he would pick Trump over Cruz.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Giuliani has been advising Trump since February. All of this is in news reports. Giuliani is like Dole; they have Cruz Derangement Syndrome.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
The GOP establishment guys prefer someone they can make political deals with like Trump. They are used to cutting deals with Dems like Trump— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
But the problem is that Trump is, pure and simple, unelectable. He has the lowest favorability ratings in history. He may lose up to 1/3 GOP— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Trump will lose in a 1964-style landslide to, of all people, Hillary Clinton. Do you know how Clinton will read the results of a landslide?— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Clinton coattails may well revert the Senate back to the Dems, maybe even the House. It will be a disaster up and down the ticket.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Cruz is currently about 3 behind Clinton. He has probably the strongest campaign organization this cycle, and he can leverage a Trump defeat— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Oh my God, John Kasich can outeat me--not to mention the carbs. https://t.co/ufeSeL0B4Y— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 7, 2016
Peter King (R-NY), a neocon demagogue who can't stand pro-liberty Rand Paul, argues that any New Yorker who votes for Cruz must be nuts.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 8, 2016
What's King's point? New Yorkers have voted for Spitzer, Weiner, Rangel, Silver, Cuomo, Clinton, and King. I bet Trump has funded them.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 8, 2016
King says if Cruz gets the nomination he might get some cyanide. I'll tell you what, King: I'll give you all the rope you need.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 8, 2016
Congratulations, Trent Harmon, American Idol 2016!Ron Paul (& I), unlike Lew Rockwell and other libertarians, doesn't buy for a second Trump is a non-interventionist; https://t.co/x1rMgip10e— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) April 8, 2016
Oh, well, I ended with a losing streak of picking winners; over the 15 seasons, I picked 5 losers, including the final two: most prominently I picked Bo Bice over Carrie Underwood. At least to my ears, Trent's voice was not better, but this is a democracy. Outstanding series finale; almost all the past winners and/or runners up were there (Kelly Clarkson, pregnant with her second child in late term, had a previously recorded segment). It was great to see Simon Cowell make a cameo appearance. I almost turned the show off when it started with a Barry Obama clip, who used it to promote voter registration. Seacrest laid a hint of a post-Fox run when he signed off with a "goodbye--for now".
