(follow-up exchange on Pro-Life Libertarians on the Manning sentence commutation)
So you expect one party to obey his part of the contract when he sees the other end breaching his part (eg breaking the oath of office by performing unconstitutional actions)? Military personnel are not expected to follow orders or keep contract when those orders are unconstitutional. Following orders is no excuse for allowing atrocities to occur. See the Nuremburg Defense which was created by our very own government based on the Nuremburg War Crime Trials.
[Respondent]  you think merely by alleging the government breached Manning's contract that he is not responsible for his knowing, deliberate breach? That is, at best, convenient. In fact, Manning revealed a vast amount of data without any focused filtering beyond the fact they were classified secret. Moreover, Manning unwittingly or knowingly revealed the names of vulnerable people in sensitive positions, making him morally responsible for what follows.

Your attempted defense is laughable. First of all, Manning was not given an illegal order to violate the natural rights of others. Second, don't use the Nuremberg trials, a clear case of victor's justice. (America's moral ambiguity was seen in the case of Dresden and Tokyo fire bombings and the use of nuclear weapons.) JFK featured Robert Taft in his Profiles in Courage for opposing the Nuremberg trials.
