The characteristic of genuine heroism is its persistency.
All men have wandering impulses, fits and starts of generosity.
But when you have resolved to be great,
abide by yourself, and do not try to reconcile yourself with the world.
The heroic cannot be common, nor the common heroic.

Trump's 35% tax on imports is DOA. Among other things, this is an attack on lower/middle-class consumers and would violate WTO rules.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 16, 2017
There are things to like about the GOP border-adjustable, destination-based cash flow tax. But it is anti-competitive & a VAT precursor.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) January 16, 2017

Paul Davis, "I Go Crazy". Arguably the greatest ballad of the late 70's: this Top 10 hit stayed on the Hot 100 for nearly 10 months in 1977-8. The story was that the largely unknown singer-songwriter tried to convince his label to have Lou Rawls ("You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine") do a cover. Instead, it became his breakthrough hit (although he did have two prior hits break Top 40).
