Trump claims the most important qualification to be President: he's not only the owner of golf courses, he's their biggest client.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Personally I have my doubts about Trump extricating from the Middle East. Have you seen him try to hit out of a sand trap or water hazard?— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
When asked for his handicap, Trump says "Cruz". He complains Cruz won't concede his short putt to the nomination & Cruz cheated on 1st hole.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Gray Lady piece on how the GOP elite had lost its base is written from a progressive perspective: https://t.co/bYPxnM93Lh— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
"Blue-collar Americans, who faced economic pain and uncertainty over the past decade as party’s donors, lawmakers & lobbyists prospered."— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
First of all, lobbyists are creatures that are empowered by Big Govt, which is the result of Dem, not GOP policies. It's difficult to reform— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Reform means taking on the special interests, the bureaucracies, and the opposition party, all with a vested interest in the status quo.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Small businesses can face brutal competition but that's not just from foreign competitors. It can emerge from economies of scale, regulation— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Of course, big businesses have a vested interest in regulations which unduly burden smaller businesses without the scale to absorb the cost.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
1 good thing about Obama's trip to Cuba; he didn't kiss Fidel Castro's ring. That's the problem with apology tours: apologies never enough.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Businesses of all sizes face economic challenges. For example, USPS and print newspapers are struggling to remain relevant with the Internet— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Exports and imports are a more complicated story:if your widget requires parts or raw materials not readily abundant in the domestic economy— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
But in the long run, trade helps reconfigure resources to endeavors with competitive advantages, & the US benefits from 95% global consumers— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
What exactly qualifies a real estate developer like Trump to occupy the White House? Maybe doing a demolition of a business district.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
What exactly qualifies a real estate developer like Trump to occupy the White House? Maybe doing a demolition of a business district.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Of course, if Trump wanted to demolish a business district, he doesn't need explosives. He simply follows Clinton & Sanders' economics.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
It's not just the War on Terror but the failed War on Drugs, War on Poverty. I may just write in a vote for Ron Paul pic.twitter.com/YAuh9KpQyy— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
As bad and delusional as Trump cultists are, Sanders cultists are in a league of their own. Sanders spins this crackpot corporate conspiracy— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Sanders wants to rob the economically productive so the State will redistribute stolen goods. The problem is--there aren't enough assets.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
The irony is that Trump cultists are predominantly lesser educated blue collar. Sanders cultists may be more educated, not in economics.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Sanders worries me more than Trump.Trump will lose in the fall if nominated:his majority is delusional.Sanders is more lefist than Obama.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
The American people have twice elected a leftist POTUS in Obama. Sanders, a professional parasite, is beating Trump by up to 20 points.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
The Trump cultists have no clue how un-American they are. Be clear: no matter how Trump hypes otherwise, he loses in a landslide, guaranteed— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Trump claims that he is bringing new people to the GOP coalition. This is utter nonsense.More conservative Democrats were never Obama voters— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
In the reddest red state of Utah, Cruz won 69% of the caucus vote, and Trump loses to Clinton by 2 points. Trump has no chance with Clinton.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
I have no doubt Trump will go negative on Clinton. He is already radioactive with women voters. He will do worse than Romney with ethnics.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
I call Trump politics "quicksand". The harder you try to fight Clinton, the lower you sink into the muck and harder to get out.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
The problem is if Sanders or Clinton beats Trump by 10 points or more, highly likely, they may carry the Congress with them, a second 111th.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
The 111th Congress gave us ObamaCare and Dodd N. Frankenstein.Next time it will be even worse.Nobody in Congress is running on Agenda Trump.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
I suspect in 2020 Paul Ryan will be the GOP nominee. Once Trump gets his clock cleaned by Clinton or Sanders, Ryan will lead the opposition.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
Ryan is probably the one Republican who can truly bridge the divide. This doesn't mean that Ryan is my preferred pro-liberty candidate.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
And I realize that Ryan became the focal point of Dems on resisting entitlement reforms. But unlike Trump, Ryan is a principled conservative— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016
After the abominable uncivil campaign of Trump and his thuggish cultists, Ryan will be the anti-Trump:positive, principled, civil, competent— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 28, 2016

Trump a non-interventionist?Check out the hubris of his politically exploitative tweet on the Easter bombing in Pakistan:'I alone can solve'— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 29, 2016
From a former Trump adviser:"He is not that voice [silent majority]. He is not your voice. He is only Trump's voice" https://t.co/My3KXy7hxT— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 29, 2016
No, Trump's rise has nothing to do with elite policy preferences on immigration or trade. https://t.co/WC3KootcJM— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 29, 2016

My Likely Next Vote for President: Gary Johnson
I will point out up to a third of classic liberals/libertarians, including me, do not agree agree with Johnson on abortion. I do think that the decision to procreate is an individual one, that the State has no authority to compel childbearing, that a woman has a right to use contraceptives or have her tubes tied, to have sex. I do think, however, when a baby exists, we have a child's unalienable right to life.
