I do believe that man is a rope between animal and superman.
But the superman I'm thinking of isn't Nietzsche's.
The real superhuman, man or woman, is the person
who's rid himself of all prejudices, neuroses, and psychoses,
who realizes his full potential as a human being,
who acts naturally on the basis of gentleness, compassion, and love,
who thinks for himself and refuses to follow the herd.
That's the genuine dyed-in-the-wool superman.

Looking at overnight results via AP (with some delegates from IL and MO outstanding), Trump at 646 and Cruz at 397,1103 left and 1227 needed— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
So if Trump wins just over 50% of remaining delegates, he gets the nomination. Kasich would need to win almost every delegate remaining.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
Cruz would have to win over 800 of those remaining delegates. At this point, Trump can probably count on at least 30-40% and delegates.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
If I'm holding Trump's hand of cards, I'm thinking of offering Cruz the VP position talking about a unity ticket, just like Reagan/Bush 1980— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
It may be that neither Trump nor Cruz can put aside their differences to agree to be on the same ticket. But it's possible to block Trump.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
Trump/Cruz could be the anti-establishment ticket fighting the ultimate establishment figure,Hillary Clinton.Remember maverick McCain/Palin?— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
Let's be clear: I will not vote for Trump, period, even if he puts Cruz on the ticket. #NeverTrump But if Trump is smart, he would do it.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
This is Soft Rock America. This dedication goes out to Donald Trump, who is scared of debating Cruz one-on-one: https://t.co/JQvxqBTfwr— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
Why did the chicken cross the road? Because Donald Trump didn't want to face Ted Cruz in a debate. He talks about his manhood but no cojones— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
This is Soft Rock America. The day of reckoning is approaching for the Trump clown act: https://t.co/Lkc8TJsHfF— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
Donnie Trump already played hooky because he didn't want to face schoolmarm Megyn Kelly. Don't 2 unexcused absences call for suspension?— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 16, 2016
Ben Carson is interested in strengthening those libel laws. Especially after endorsing the man who compared him to a child molester.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
Isn't that fair? Trump carried Missouri by 0.2% and so far has been awarded 25 to Cruz's 5 delegates.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
Kasich has been mathematically eliminated from the race. He was 143 delegates, there are 1061 available, and 1237 are needed to nominate.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016

Make no mistake:Donald Trump is not growing the GOP. We've had a year of polls that tell us Clinton beats Trump with all his cultists.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
2008 gave us Obama and a supermajority Dem Congress with Obama's 7-pt victory. Trump is already 7 behind, more soon. pic.twitter.com/1DsQE0NeE5— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
@smi44281732 You're on drugs Clinton will mop the floor with Trump. There's a reason Bill Clinton urged Trump to run for the GOP nod.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
I'm getting trolled by Trump cultists in a state of denial. Hillary Clinton knows how to play the victim card better than anyone.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
Trump has the highest negatives inside, outside the GOP of any candidate since they started tracking this stuff over 20 years ago.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
Believe me, the media and the Dems are going to go after Trump with all they've got. They are already targeting the GOP as Party of Trump.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
People don't seem to remember McCain had a reputation as an independent, straight shooter, someone willing to cut deals across the aisle.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
I already know the line Trump is planning to use against Clinton: "You didn't think I was such a bad guy when you were cashing my checks."— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
I bet the Trump cultists will be high-fiving themselves over that one. I'm not going to speak for Clinton, but he said a lot of good things.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
The fact that the media is giving Trump massive free publicity. It's called giving your enemy all the rope he needs to hang himself.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
I have never been more than a nominal Republican, mostly because there was no longer a home for conservatives in the Democratic Party.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
It took the farce of the authoritarian Trump candidacy for me to leave the Republican Party. My last act as a Republican was to vote for Cruz— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016

Like other Dems, Trump pays lip service to veterans and their govt healthcare failures, but he considered disabled vendors bad for business.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016
So disabled vet vendors are discouraged from self-reliance and Trump asserts TrumpCare, like Trump University, will succeed because he WINS.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) March 17, 2016

Although I usually agree with the editors, I would argue that democratic socialism is more of a left-libertarian anti-Statist perspective. There's little doubt that self-professed Bernie Sanders is a Statist, more of an extreme social liberal/democrat as you describe..
I would argue the tyranny of the majority is a legitimate concern, but the mixed market, government-dominated economy you describe is more descriptive of economic fascism.
