I kind of want a low-energy president, if we must have one. - Jeffrey Tucker. @realDonaldTrump by attacking Carson's energy makes his case.

Obama's politically motivated veto of the Keystone pipeline is a victory for the crackpot ecofascists, a defeat for energy independence.

Obama's Keystone decision ignores the cost and safety reasons why pipelines transport 70% of oil/products. https://t.co/R59AFSfO4t

The weird recent polling in Iowa now shows Trump with a 2-point lead over Carson. I think that's 3 Trump ties or leads vs. 4 Carson lesds by 8 or more points. According to Trump, the polls against him are some sort of establishment grand conspiracy. But another state poll, NC, shows Carson with a blowout 2-digit lead over Trump. I've seen a handful of recent polla with Trump not even reaching 20 points. I'm not prepared to say definitively that Trump has peaked, and as I've pointed out before, in 2012, both Gingrich and Romney got a second wind at the top. But I think next week's Fox Business debate may be necessary to shore up his eroding support. Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders continue to trump Trump in head to heads, and that's going to be a serious problem for voters as we count down the 90 days to the Iowa caucuses.
If it wasn't bad enough for Jeb Bush to decline to 5-8% of poll votes, he is also losing head to heads against Clinton. I don't see him getting a second wind. In a sense it's a shame, because he's one of the best candidates in the field, better than Trump or Carson by a country mile. But I think there's Clinton and Bush fatigue by an increasingly frustrated electorate, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

(Rand Paul 2016). Presidential candidate Paul against use of eminent domain for pipeline project
The comments here confound the distinction between easement and property confiscation by condemnation. Pipelines are common carriers; given that the transport of energy resources has a broad economic benefit to the general public, Paul's point is at best arbitrary; what is he suggesting, that the government should nationalize pipelines? The fact is the landowner must be fairly compensated for the lease or purchase, and quite often pipelines are buried underground, minimizing landholder inconvenience.
(Ron Paul). Am I worried that an authoritarian like Donald Trump can win the nomination? Of course. Everyone should be concerned. More at the link: Ron Paul's Scared To Death That Authoritarian Trump May Win http://bit.ly/1PsVGTS
Sorry to see the Ron Paul group attracts a bunch of economically illiterate loser left-wing and Trump cultist trolls.. Ron Paul is spot on: Since Trump will lose to Clinton, Trump won't be nominated. He's already peaked in the polls. Carson has been increasingly edging him out nationally and in states like Iowa, LA and NC. Certainly left-fascist Sanders or right-fascist Trump would lead authoritarian regimes based on the failed policies of economic nationalism.
