The Economic Case For Liberalized Immigration

(National Review). When retailers capitulate to pressure groups rather than stand up for science, they actually harm consumers.
Corporations have only one 'value'; PROFIT. They have zero loyalty to any nation, ethnicity, religion or value system. Chic Fill A and maybe a couple of others are the exceptions that prove the rule. So, they gave the customers what they said they wanted. If there are enough people who want the vinyl flooring in question then it will be brought back. Because this is about getting money from people and nothing else. Do we really want corporations 'leading society' in any fashion?
Fascist posters have only one 'value': authoritarianism. Do we really want fascist punks like this OP engaging in anti-scientific fearmongering to deprive consumers of a real, highly effective alternative?

What's particularly obnoxious are the so-called "family value" conservatives willing to split up families over their worship of corrupt anti-liberty economically illiterate crony immigration laws.

(Reason). Let’s start talking about privatizing Amtrak.
In Europe, rail is economic, fast, safe, and reliable.

It should be the same here, but it isn't, because cars have been so heavily subsidized. European countries don't use their military budgets to bring down the cost of oil. That is a pretty heavy subsidy for rail transit to overcome.

Seeing the shortest air flight takes about 2-3 hours in airport time, and travel to/from the airport (and costs a hell of a lot more than $50 bucks!) there is no reason why rail shouldn't be competitive.
There is basically one profitable Amtrak route.. Anyone who thinks political whores do anything less than impose corrupt meddling on operations is delusional. Cato Institute notes, despite the fact that Japan and Europe are better suited to rail and America's spreadout nature of major cities, "As in Japan, high-speed rail in Europe is a money loser and it carries relatively few passengers."

Cato Institute makes a powerful case for Amtrak privatization: "Amtrak's monopoly over intercity passenger rail travel leaves it with little incentive to provide high-quality and efficient service. The threat of potential budget cuts or elimination has been undermined by Washington's perpetual willingness to bail Amtrak out. At the same time, congressional micromanagement has prevented Amtrak from cutting routes and reducing other costs. Its unionized workforce reduces management's ability to run an efficient business."

Political Cartoons

I would fine-tune this cartoon to discuss subsidies for mass transit and short-shrifted maintenance spending.
