(Reason). Americans have gotten too used to the obvious benefits of trade to be terrified by German cars, Canadian oil or Chinese toys.
I am so sick and tired of the disgenuous anti-consumer, economic illiterate protectionists, the crony capitalists and unionists spamming this thread. Of course, any managed trade act is neo-mercantilistic in nature, but any pact that provides competition for the consumer in both markets is a constructive step forward. But to hell with the ignorant demagogues like Cherokee Lizzie: we should unilaterally declare free trade.
