The greater danger for most of us is
not that our aim is too high and we miss it,
but that it is too low and we reach it.

Interesting libertarian talking point: Trump has so defiled the Office of the Presidency that no one will ever see future Presidents as larger than life or trustworthy in fixing their problems.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) February 2, 2018
Trump is by far the biggest RINO there is. He was a registered Democrat a decade ago. How any Republican could vote for him is enigmatic; this same guy supported Clinton and Obama a decade ago.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) February 2, 2018
Hmm. Who would I choose? Kasich who was in a Congress that balanced the budget, or Trump, who only knows how to spend other people's money?— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) February 2, 2018
Any person who thinks Obama is responsible for job gains in a period of the lowest growth ever in a post-recession period is beyond economic illiterate. The truth is that the private economy persevered vs. the economic idiocy of both Obama and Trump.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) February 2, 2018
Once again, Trumpkins: if you think there were a violation of rights here, why did the GOP Congress and Trump rush to pass FISA section 702 renewal into law, steamrolling Amash and Paul in the process? #FISAMemo— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) February 3, 2018

This segment simply lists a collections of comments on Facebook posts not of sufficient interest to feature republication:- [A pro-life libertarian republished a pro-abort female's dismissive meme that men have no "right" to comment on abortion.] Who the hell made some idiot politically correct feminist pro-abort the thought police? Good luck trying to convince a libertarian who doesn't accept restrictions on free expression. And who believes under the Non-Aggression Principle not even a mother or her doctor can take a preborn child's life.
- Trump has a history of spending other people's money. He's a trade warrior. His immigration "solution" is to cut legal immigration. I'm ashamed to say that he's our POTUS. Our country would be better off with somebody in that post who hasn't been one of the major candidates nominated this century.
- [This was in response to some libertarian's dismissive discussion of conservatives as a bunch of nationalists, immigration restrictionists, authoritarian law-and-order types, etc. There is an overriding context of the LP not inviting Ron Paul and Judge Napolitano to speak at their 2018 convention, wanting fresh voices.] No. Trumpism is not conservatism. Most conservatives hold economically liberal views. If you reject practical alliances, you're stuck in an ineffective niche.
- There is nothing conservative about immigration restriction. If you don't recall, Obama sabotaged the 2007 immigration reform effort. Labor unions have generally opposed, immigration under the economically illiterate idea that immigrants drive down wages. So Democrats have never been pro-immigration, but Latinos fit their civil rights coalition. So they have mixed views: they're in favor of currently resident Latinos. (Keep in mind FDR opposed Jewish immigration in the 20's and also notably turned back a ship full of Jewish refugees during WWII.) Trump, on the other hand, contrasts with Reagan, McCain, both Bushes, who were pro-immigration
