Quote of the Day

What is important is to keep learning, to enjoy challenge, and to tolerate ambiguity.
In the end there are no certain answers.

SCOWA Rules Against Economic and Religious Liberty

Facebook Corner

(Pro-Life Libertarians). Posting this just to tick off all the pro-lifers who ❤ Richard Spencer (who, for the record, should *not* be punched in the face).
Breaking: "Libertarians" kick out an individual from a so-called liberty conference for holding a different opinion. BTW, I've never heard of Richard Spencer or Jeffrey Tucker. Just enjoying the irony. Viva Libertas.
Actually the OP seems to forget that we are about freedom of association, including freedom from those promoting anti-liberty perspectives such as the alt-right fascist.. Freedom of speech is also freedom from others imposing speech without consent.

The "real" contradiction that the OP thinks exists would have been if Tucker had suppressed Spencer's right to express his vacuous nonsense. Tucker did not suppress Spencer's right to self-expression. He simply exercised property rights.
Ronald A Guillemette Cool, more irony. Freedom of speech is freedom from speech. Perhaps if you just call it hate speech we can have him arrested?
[Troll], do you have any intellectual integrity beyond a drunk freshman trying to be a smartass in his first philosophy class? Did you miss the point of "without consent"? If Spencer wants to have a party for his Nazi friends in his apartment, we are not imposing our values on him nor are we restricting his freedom of speech. We, of course, live in a world where we are confronted with ideas different from our own, but imposing his views without consent in this context is a violation of the NAP.

If I am hosting a liberty conference, the idea that someone who is uninvited and is unsympathetic to our ideas might impose his illiberal ideas undermines the very concept of liberty..

Wow, this is a ludicrous rationalization of a century-old corruption of our traditional pro-immigration roots. If you knew anything about immigration research, you know we have to tease out the legal vs. unauthorized distinction. Immigrant communities show less rampant crime than at birth Americans.

This time I'm gone for good.
