[Thread referencing Trump'w rumored unhappiness with his fed Reserve chair Powell, including speculation of termination]

This guy is pissed off Powell hasn't served as his bitch, with artificially low rates to keep the economy humming, at least past election day. He's of course threatened by any money beyond his control.

[I believe this was a Pro-Life Libertarian thread of a typical tweet arguing because the Gospels don't reference Jesus on abortion, He mustn't have opposed it.]

Mark 10:13-16. But this OP is disingenuous in her presentist absurdities. The fact is that abortion was NOT an accepted practice in Jesus' lifetime in Israel (see below), and in fact explicit teachings against abortion appear in one of the earliest Christian texts, the Didache. Why? Because abortion and infanticide were practiced in ancient Rome and Greece. As Christianity spread into the Gentile world, it became an issue.

However, the Jews see to it that their numbers increase. It is a deadly sin to kill a born or unborn child.

[This I believe was a Regina post talking about boys playing Mass.]

Mom made me vestments from beach towels while I was still in primary school

[This was a Pro-Life Libertarian thread that was skeptical about Amash's take that Trump obstructed justice during the Mueller investgation.]

Nope. It's incontestable that (1) Trump had a vested interest in investigations of his campaign, exactly the same as in Nixon's 1972 campaign; and (2) Trump tried to stop the investigation, wanting Comey, Sessions, McGahn, and Mueller to end it. He had criminal intent, even if in the end he didn't fire Mueller.

[This was a libertarian thread on flag burning. A famous black conservative woman [CO] wants to criminalize flag burning.]

I also feel the same way, and I was brought up as a military brat. I recently sent out a tweet that what people do with their own flags, even burning them, was nobody else's business. I also have pointed out one of the first things done after the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia was burning George's Coat of Arms.

[a libertarian thread/comment skeptical of Amash's political relevance after leaving the GOP]

This is nonsense. I've seen a poll in Michigan showing Amash pulling about 10% in Michigan, roughly equally from Biden and Trump. If a pseuo-libertarian could win 3% of the vote, Amash can surely earn more.

[Here I'm quibbling with the implicit belief that Trump overthrew the "conservative" establishment of the GOP]

Nope. The "conservative establishment" is a contradiction in terms. There nothing "conservative" about Trumpkin leadership.
