New JOTY Nominee: Iowa Senate Nominee Bruce Braley

Apparently, unlike the "progressive" voters on either coast, Braley needs to talk down to Iowa voters whom otherwise would never understand the merits of "progressive" populism... Arrogant fascist...

(Econlib). Markets engender trust...even the illegal ones. http://ow.ly/A6yun
However, one cannot control for the not-so-bright wronged consumer, like the recent Oklahoma woman whom called the cops to complain about the quality of her meth purchase.

The idea that a business owner is forced to pay for the killing of babies is not fundamentally different than a pacifist being forced to serve in the military during war. It's a question of a matter of conscience, a key construct of religious liberty. This is not even a ban on the sale of abortifacients. Note that birth control is not even properly a matter of insurance; it's an ordinary expense for fertile women. As the thread owner notes, the employer has no control over what the employee does with his or her post-tax earnings.

(Tom Woods). Depressing that even people on Ron Paul's page are saying, "Ron, you're great and everything, but 'we' need to intervene now."
I covered ISIS and Iraq on my show today, with Daniel McAdams.
Your thoughts (preferably after listening)?
You Americans can not create a mess over there and all of a sudden say it is none of our business. When you arm monsters like ISIS in Syria, and they attack Iraq (where you have created a vacuum of power) and brutally massacre innocent people, it is your responsibility to clear it yourselves. Why should those defenseless people pay for your mistakes?
I happen to be a non-interventionist, but I'm hearing a bunch of excuses here for war criminals whom intentionally kill defenseless people. One of the things that turns me off about Ron Paul is when, e.g., he talks about 9/11, he comes across not as much sympathetic to the 9/11 victims but as a prosecutor of a list of alleged US provocations, e.g., Al Qaeda objections to US soldiers based in Saudi Arabia. Now personally I disagreed with a US presence in Saudi Arabia, but their issue was more with the Saudi government. If the anti-war side wants to persuade people, it needs less in-your-face judgmental nonsense that merely serves the PR purposes of war criminals.
