Quote of the Day

The brain is a wonderful organ.
It starts working the moment you get up in the morning
and does not stop until you get into the office.

David Rubin Encounters a Social Justice Princess

Just a comment here. Free speech doesn't mean you can violate the voluntary association of others to listen to Rubin speak, anymore than we pro-lifers have the freedom to protest inside an aboratorium. She is free to protest outside the meeting hall, and Rubin isn't trying to stop her from publishing her perspective elsewhere.

[responding to a "progressive" meme suggesting capitalists are intrinsically wasteful of food]

The last time I checked, it was government who mandated dumping when farmers produced beyond quotas e.g,;https://www.michigancapitolconfidential.com/22820. Not to mention regulations against feeding the homeless, health department restrictions against donated food, etc.

[this is a play on words with a libertarian meme]

The government thinks it could fix everything that's wrong with the country if the rest of the country couldn't read my Facebook updates.

[Here I'm responding to a libertarian troll who basically blames McCain, dying from brain cancer,  for interventionist foreign policies and in particular attacks him for being "childish" in not wanting Trump at his own funeral.]

This is bullshit. Trump is a goddamn narcissist who would make McCain's funeral all about him. Not to mention to being a goddamn hypocrite, as if the son of a bitch didn't say he prefer soldiers who aren't captured as prisoners of war.

[This is actually a Youtube Place items responding to a libertarian lady's spoof on the Philadelphia Starbuck's video, where among other things, she claims because of bathroom for customers policy, she peed on the restaurant's floor. I had made an earlier comment questioning if the bizarre rant, complete with Marx Brothers' style makeup, was a satire. Someone responded that of course it was satire.]

The problem with satire is it can go over the head of the intended audience, not to mention it can piss off the affirmative action industrial complex.
