What the hell are you talking about? Sanders has been sucking on the government teat his whole life' corporations, voluntary associations of people, are taxed, just like the rest of people whose income has been stolen to feed the political elite, Sanders is a political whore.— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) December 10, 2017

How many times do you see left-wing media embrace those prodigal sons? E.g., "Why I am no longer a libertarian, Republican, racist, etc" Why not a piece from Sowell on why he isn't a Communist? "Evangelical Republican"— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) December 10, 2017
The cases of Trump and Moore are different. One wonders why the Sen. Strange campaign hadn't uncovered the 25-year-old allegations against former Democrat Roy Moore. Moore would never have been nominated. "Evangelical Republican"— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) December 10, 2017
Trump, on the other hand, openly boasted, in writing, over his extramarital affairs and has been married 3 times. How did the evangelicals back him in 2016? "Evangelical Republican"— Ronald Guillemette (@raguillem) December 10, 2017

(Reason). [This thread was in response a Reason piece that basically argues that polls show that Alabama seems likely to elect Ray Moore to the Senate largely based on abortion, even though abortion really isn't a conservative issue. I mentioned in a recent tweet that I've seen at least a half dozen Reason pieces attacking Moore and/or the GOP for hypocritical on spending cuts, etc. But Jones has gotten largely a free ride. In part, Reason has been promoting its stand there isn't much difference between the parties, but it also hates social conservatives, and Roy Moore is the poster boy of social conservatives, although allegations involving inappropriate incidents involving minors over 25 years ago have complicated that reputation.]Nope, but I do find curious that a libertarian forum that allegedly is for due process doesn't have an issue with the "progressive" media circulating 25-year-old allegations during the general election campaign. Jones is just another political opportunist leftist. Moore tapped into the same anti-establishment streak that won Trump's nomination, defeating the incumbent. The fact is that Moore better represents Alabama's political interests and the better of two evils.
As a pro-lifer myself,(among the one-third of libertarians who are pro-life), I think it's rather ludicrous to paint this as single-issue politics. The Dems themselves have made their pro-abort stand a litmus test, and there are a number of pro-abort Catholics In Name Only, who have sacrificed the Church's 2000-year-old moral teachings against elective abortion, to further their political careers: to mention just a few, Biden, Pelosi, Cuomo, the Kennedies, etc.
So you're saying a man who has been removed from office twice because he didn't follow the rule of law, and believes women and blacks shouldn't have the right to vote, represents Alabama's political interests better?
Yes.(Not your bullshit "progressive" propaganda). Not my choice, but Jones by far is the worse of two evils.
What is "my" bullshit "progressive prooaganda"? I don't know why you follow Reason if you think disenfranchisement according to racial and gender lines is acceptable, suggests a huge amount of cognitive dissonance frankly.
Take your goddamn political correctness to another forum/site. We libertarians tell you left-fascists to fuck off.
How is it libertarian to prevent blacks and women from voting?
What kind of retard left-fascist are you? If you knew anything about us, a lot of us specifically boycott voting because we think it might compromise our stand against theft of taxation. may suggest we've given consent to State operations.
That being said, government cannot morally discriminate against individuals (regardless of your political bullshit class-based reasons). That violates the generality, the rule of law. The whole set of federal regulations is intrinsically unknowable. I do not know all of Moore's positions, present or past, views he once had but now rejects. I do know his general political stands are more consistently representative of Alabama than the left-fascist Jones.
Here you go: http://reason.com/.../12/08/mostly-weekly-roy-moore-sucks 13 Non-Pedophile Reasons Why You Can Hate Roy Moore Just when you thought you couldn't like Moore…REASON.COM
And there are $120T non-pedophile reasons not to vote for the parasitic left-fascist political whore Jones. What we need is the elimination of the welfare state and a return to the principles of federalism and Subsidiary.
Nobody thinks Moore is a libertarian. I don't live in Alabama, and I had posted tweets favoring the incumbent over Moore and several tweets critical of Moore. But I'll be damned if Alabama elects the parasite Jones. That's 50 times worse than voting for Moore. These 25-year-old allegations that surfaced when Moore was still a registered Dem only came to the surface, surprise, surprise, after Moore won the nomination. If the left stream media really wanted to keep Moore out of the Senate, this would have happened during the primary, and Moore would be done. I'll be damned if you left-fascists give that leftist whore Doug Jones a free ride into the Senate.
Can you explain what specifically you find so reprehensible about Jones? Something he said, something he did, what exactly?
He's a leftist. Maybe you overlooked that. Leftists like yourself are morally corrupt bastards who think they are entitled to steal from others if a majority sanctions it.
[I believe there was a followup exchange I didn't clip, where I pointed out that Jones had been caught lying that Moore advocated the end of Medicaid and Medicare, a typical classical progressive Democrat move.]
