First, note that this is not an exoneration of Bush's economic record: note that after Aug. 2001, only one month has been under 8% (Dec. 2006). However, Obama has yet to beat double-digits or any month prior to the close of FY2008.

Keep in mind that this is U-6, which has a more restrictive view on employment than U-3, i.e., the official unemployment rate.  Under U-3, even a part-time job of one hour per week counts as employed in the labor force. When it comes to full-time workers, Obama has the worst record in recent memory. Now personally I think the President has little to do with economic performance, good or bad, but given the fact that as of the latest State of the Union address, Obama claimed to have the best economic record since 1999, it's time to bring reality to the foreground.

Facebook Corner

(Mercatus Center). In the Net Neutrality plans laid out by FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, the Internet, one of the consistent bright spots in the U.S. economy, would be subject to 80-year old telephone regulations.
Wrong the internet should be a public untility so corporates can not create a fast lane for the wealthy and another for everyone else
God spare us another economically clueless leftist like the OP. There is no such thing as "smart regulation". Economic history is full of central planning FAILURE and RUIN. The Internet is where it is today PRECISELY BECAUSE of dynamic innovation ONLY POSSIBLE by more freedom. HOW MANY RETARDS like the OP forget the long distance wars of the 1980's, so called landline monopolies that are dying as people rely more on their mobile service? We already have wireless Internet, satellite Internet, etc. If the OP has been alive for 20 years, we have already seen past dominant vendors like AOL, Blackberry, and Nokia wither in the face of competition; Microsoft and IBM have become value stocks...
(separate)
Let me further comment on the lunacy of the premium service/fast track propaganda by the technologically illiterate OP. What we have is a few resource-hog vendors like Netflix which grab up to a third of prime-time bandwidth; without capital investments, all users would find themselves stuck with slower Internet services. It is only right that heavier users of bandwidth be charged premium rates to justify investment. The clueless leftist might further note that the private sector has always allowed for price discrimination for level of service, e.g., flying first-class vs. coach, overnight delivery vs. first-class mail, etc. The question is whether those of us who do not have Netflix should have to implicitly subsidize its customers. Note also content providers like Netflix and Google often have dedicated infrastructure installed in/connected to major ISP's
Nonsense! What is going to happen is that a fresh standard will emerge to address the hybrid nature of the Internet in the New Millennium.
Fascist claptrap. The free market has and will be the dynamic engine of innovation. The idea that the State drives the economy anywhere other than to its ruin is preposterous hubris.
