Your kids love Santa Claus, but you get the credit card bills In January. Corrupt morally repulsive demagogues like Comrade Bernie are good at spending other people's money. Taxation is theft.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 7, 2022
Biden didn't add a damn thing; the private economy did despite Biden's anti-growth policies and indefensible spending that exacerbated an inflation problem--that, yes, leads to people having to take second jobs. Trump didn't lose jobs. State and local governments shut things down
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 7, 2022
No, it's not, you economically illiterate idiot. Your social security money was never invested in real income-producing assets to fund a limited-year retirement. It was a Ponzi type scheme used to fund current beneficiaries and any residual funds were invested in USG spending.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 7, 2022
This ignorant leftist is in a state of denial about the reality of unfunded entitlement liabilities. The system was never funded for decades of retirement. There are 2 ways to reform the system: increase inflows (i.e., payroll taxes) and/or limit outflows.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 7, 2022
Nope. Much of that deficit-exacerbating spending spree went to checks to every household, whether or not they needed it. Most households had income through the pandemic & their relief checks went to pay off bills or into savings with marginal impact.https://t.co/dANH0fojTw
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 7, 2022
Economic illiterate idiocy. Subsidizing insulin doesn't address the real problem of lowering barriers of entry into the market, patent reform, etc. The gas price issue is in large part impacted by Biden's anti-fossil fuel policies.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 7, 2022
Yeah, right. I'm sure Comrade Bernie discussed the nuances of sound money policy with Milton Friedman and others. I do think he has a vague idea that inflation is a type of regressive tax disparately hitting lower-income people, but not of USG's role in it
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 7, 2022

You're wrong. Thomas Jefferson was founder of the Democratic Party, although it went by the name by the Jackson Administration.

No, this is a STUPID idea and counterproductive. Oh, it's possible that the government caps the price it will pay--but it can't force business to sell to the government. If it's below the private economy's going price, few, if any, will be sold.

— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 12, 2022
There's too much in this story I don't understand. I think there's a NARA liaison at the White House. Classified documents don't get stored in moving boxes but require special handling. How did they end up in Florida?
But Trump as POTUS had wider access and greater control over classified materials than Clinton as Secretary of State. Anyone who has ever gotten classified material access knows they have a lifetime commitment to the nation's secrets. Trump had a moral and legal responsibility.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 12, 2022
Up to another 2000 Clinton emails were retroactively reclassified. Of the then classified documents, many were improperly marked. I suspect Clinton wanted a workaround to inconvenient SCIF access. USG was not maintaining Clinton's server & Clinton's email account not compliant.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 12, 2022

— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 12, 2022
Trump lies so profusely about anything it's impossible where to start. He just throws a lot of shit at you and hopes some of it will stick. We know DOJ and Trump were at odds over the transfer of documents. And some of this stuff required storage in a SCIF/vault, not a basement.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 12, 2022
We don't know the specifics of what Trump is lying about in claiming he had "declassified" all those documents still showing classified markings. There's a reason declassification is a process: its revelation could put personnel, locations, planes or ships, operations at risk.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 12, 2022
Not NS guru; I think somehow others discussing secure matters with POTUS would need to be vetted and have a need to know, no recording devices like a cellphone present, etc. Certainly as ex-POTUS, he doesn't have a need to know, and a padlocked room in a basement is not a SCIF.

If Trump's bogus declassification claim is legitimate, where's the paperwork? Why would his stolen copies of the documents maintain classification markings?
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
The point is classified serious or above material means information which poses, at minimum, risk of serious damage.
Oh, Jesus! Trump is channeling his inner middle school kid, trying to shift the blame to others. Seriously, dude? If all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you?
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
What is with his pseudo right-wing reference to Barry's middle name? Is he trying to link him to Saddam Hussein? https://t.co/cywfSq9DbO
No, the twice-impeached idiot IS that stupid. He ran for President and couldn't answer a simple question on the nuclear triad. The fact is, he had been fighting the DOJ on returning the material stolen from the White House.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Because "Sleepy Joe" wants them back. Yes, Trump is really that shallow, petty, and stupid. Plus, he thought DOJ was bluffing. https://t.co/4louk8qyHY
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Too bad Trump didn't keep a manifest of the items he stole from the White House.

It figures. Trumpkins are like Trump. He used to retweet crap without vetting it first all the time. It's not like FNC, in its zeal to smear the judge who signed off on the Trump search warrant, would question a meme pulled off Twitter. https://t.co/gvlfhToybF
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
You mean, besides the bounty on his head?
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
I, too, have voted for bad people, too. You have my sympathies. Not too many people are willing to admit they were stupid enough to vote for Biden.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Leftist trolls are suggesting Trump wanted to sell state secrets. No. I'm convinced Trump wasn't involved with packing and moving activities. Somehow boxes meant for NARA were shipped to FL. However, once the mistake was uncovered, an embittered ex-POTUS has been uncooperative.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Two things to say: first, an ex-President has no need to know. There is no legal/constitutional right for Trump to be in possession of said documents. They pose an uncontrolled risk to national security.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Second, there is a defined process for declassification Trump didn't follow https://t.co/HSA95pPMED
He's dead.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
STOP CONCEDING THE POINT. We are talking about the rule of law.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
I can't believe otherwise smart people aren't challenging the bogus assertion that Trump had a standing order to declassify any documents being transferred for his personal convenience. Declassification is a defined process. We obey the rule of law, not men.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Some idiots choose to ignore the twice-impeached Loser-in-Chief had a defined pattern of behavior of destroying federal documents, blatantly illegal, even before the hypocrite, who attacked Clinton on classified emails, stole documents with no need to know.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Declassification is a process that has to judge whether the disclosure of documented (minimally) serious risks to national security could compromise defense/intelligence personnel, infrastructure, operations, etc. POTUS may have the final say but he can't define away risks.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
I don't know the specifics of Trump's alleged standing order. If he means, don't bring materials to my home (when POTUS) that are classified, it's one thing. If he means, put declassification marks on any document sent to my home without due process, that's unconstitutional.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
First, as ex-POTUS, he has no need to know, no right to said documents. We already know NARA found classified (not declassified) documents from the 15 boxes Trump stole from the White House. Basis for more documents was identified for the search warrant. You manipulated Trumpkins
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
I have to admit I'm curious why the FBI took Trump's cocktail napkins. I bet Trump is upset he didn't jot down the bimbo's phone number. #sarcasm
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Yeah. We know Geraldo Rivera's real regret over the FBI's raid on Trump's mansion. No doubt he wanted to be there for the opening of Trump's safe. #sarcasm I'm not sure what they found there: Trump's little black book?
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Say it ain't so, Joe! And note this piece doesn't even look at inflationary aspects of higher business taxes. https://t.co/b4dDQ6u0IP
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
I don't like Liz Cheney's neo-con/interventionist foreign policy, no matter how right she might be on Trump. She poked the bear one too many times on Trump and cost herself a leadership position. The last poll I saw had her behind 2-1 to her challenger. She's done.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Yes, a blanket approval circumvents due diligence to ensure against release of information potentially damaging to national security. The fact that Mr. Trump puts his personal convenience over national security demonstrates his unfitness to hold national office. https://t.co/I45xvdVHVm
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
This is fairly stupid. The Republicans voted against a bad tax-and-spending fill. Inflation is a de facto tax, yes, on seniors and this bill does nothing to address this. The Democrats aren't addressing the true cause of high prices in the healthcare sector, just symptoms,
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
Trump is such a freaking genius his staff "forgot" to change the classification markings for the documents he stole. https://t.co/BMxj1UVKZB

You have a reading comprehension problem.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 13, 2022
3 Justices nominated by Trump were confirmed by the Senate. What Trump has done since leaving office is irrelevant. An investigation is not a conviction.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
This is an incompetent talking point. The fact that Trump exaggerated his ability to declassify documents should be confronted head on. The idea Trump's basement is a SCIF is beyond ludicrous. Trying to convict someone on legal nuance is tyranny. https://t.co/ftFE2CfSBy
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
The leftist claim that the magistrate judge who signed the Trump search warrant was appointed by Trump is false. Magistrate judges are appointed by active district judges. POTUS appoints district judges, court of appeals judges, and SCOTUS justices.https://t.co/Xk30xFRIgN

EV sales account for about 600K in an overall market of roughly 15M annual sales. Potential consumers are turned off by much higher purchase prices and limited driving ranges between full charges.https://t.co/eKBqt79Vgn https://t.co/txmwZu6IWN
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
I share the deep concern of millions of Americans over Trump's illegal possession of federal documents, including classified data for which he has no need to know. Trump signed a 2018 law that made it a felony to mishandle classified documents. https://t.co/D2HDbNayGe https://t.co/0hyAJldhvz
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
It just goes to show how stupid and gullible Trumpkins and GOP political whores are. Trump and his legal whores were not negotiating the return of stolen documents in good faith. They were caught on film moving sensitive documents out of a padlocked room vs. assurances otherwise. https://t.co/lc5d2YcEKJ
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
The problem is that Trump had no right to possess, no need to know this classified material. Trump is not above the law. Whether the law has been misapplied elsewhere is irrelevant.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
I have never understood the bizarre fixation some of my fellow libertarians have had in defending a wannabe autocratic political whore plutocrat. The fact is Trump extorted a foreign government to politically attack his partisan foe and he engaged in dereliction of duty on 1/6.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
Yes, there's a legitimate concern of people accessing materials who haven't been vetted and/or need to know. I think they may have been in a padlocked room under surveillance although there have been reports of boxes being moved in and out of the room.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
This is rubbish. Trump was in possession of classified material which is USG property and he no longer has a need to know. Trump has been uncooperative with DOJ. There was evidence that Trump withheld records, and the magistrate judge approved the search warrant. https://t.co/yd0Reu6NZZ
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
Oh, Jesus! This is a situation that Trump has manipulated to his political benefit. Some otherwise reasonable people buy into this victim card and persecution complex. That you buy into his manipulative BS exposes your inept analysis.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
The twice-impeached, unprincipled, corrupt, manipulative, hypocritical, incompetent, self-serving jerk is playing the victim card, and only naive, gullible, pathetic losers buy into his BS.
— raguillemette (@raguillemette) August 14, 2022
In this poet, I reflect on anecdotal aspects of the clearance job market and the FBI search of the Trump mansion, in particular Trump's absurd notion all the classified documents he had stolen had been declassified by fiat.https://t.co/ZeRdEaGhba
