A Video on Dumb Regulations

I stumbled upon this video on Youtube and was amused enough to share it:

(FEE). Today, the war on drugs is in retreat (good riddance). But in its place has arisen the war on immigrants.
War on immigration? Nobody has a big issue with legal immigration. What people have a legitimate beef with is illegal immigration, the phony "open borders" movement (which of course only wants the US to have open borders while other countries can do whatever they like), and the welfare state which renders wholesale immigration economically untenable.
The "phony" open borders movement is the "phony" liberty movement. Only the economically clueless and immoral would suggest that "illegal" immigration is a problem, especially for an aging population. We have "open" migrarion among states: crossing nstional borders is only an artificial distinction. The problem is you are imposing on the freedom of other people--freedom to their own dreams, to reunite families, to hire or work with those they choose. You worship corrupt restrictions and have more faith in the State than in human rights. Immigrants of all types help sustain our economic growth--only an economic retard would believe, given the welfare state, one should shoot oneself in the foot by shrinking the tax base.

(Drudge Report). SENATE REPUBLICANS GIVE OBAMA NEW POWERS
One of the few initiatives from Obama that any legitimate conservative or libertarian can and should support. I would prefer the Americas to already be a free trade zone and declare unilateral free trade if necessary. Trade pacts are by design neo-mercantilist, but I'm for any pact that improves the choices for consumers.on a multi-lateral basis.
